The practical stuff

Aprons are provided, but this is a craft class and paint happens. Send them in clothes that can take a splash. Acrylic paint is permanent once it dries.

No. Every material for every project is included in the term fee. A water bottle is welcome.

At enrolment you give us the names of every adult allowed to collect your child, plus two emergency contacts. We release children only to those adults. Class ends at 4:30 pm. If nobody has arrived after a 15-minute grace period we call your emergency contacts, and your child stays with the instructor in a safe, visible spot until someone comes.

Tell us on the enrolment form. We ask about food, material and latex allergies, asthma and anything else we should know, and the instructor keeps that information on hand in every class. If your child carries an EpiPen or inhaler, we arrange for it to be on site during class.

We refund every remaining session at $20 each. For example, a child who withdraws after three sessions gets $140 back. Sessions already attended are not refunded.

No session is lost. If the school is closed, or the instructor is ill, that week’s class moves to the school’s backup day, or is added to the end of the term. If Craft & Create ever has to cancel a term, unused sessions are refunded in full.

Only if you say so. Photo consent is a separate, optional form. Without it, your child’s image is never used on this site, on social media or in print.

The groups are split by grade so the projects fit the age. If you have a reason to ask for a different day, email us and we’ll see what we can do.

Craft & Create was founded by Tarissa Grisley, who plans every project and leads the classes. Every instructor holds a Vulnerable Sector criminal record check, the enhanced check specifically covering work with children.
